Gold Medal
Awards
Since 2000, the RSBC and the INSAM Foundation (an educational
foundation whose President is also RSBC President), have been offering
awards to Russian business people for their success and irreproachable
business conduct. This award programme is proving very successful in
its own right and as a means of having Russian and Swiss businessmen
meet. The two award ceremonies planned for the first half of 2003 were
with the support and participation of the Russian Union of Industrialists
and Entrepreneurs. The selection process for awardees begins
with a data bank prepared by the National Credit Bureau with input from the
Tax Inspectorate and the Russian Statistical Office.

"Gold Medallion Award Ceremony"
A round table was held at the Hotel Metropole, Geneva, followed by the award ceremony and dinner. For the "round table",
members made speeches
of 10-15 minutes describing their activities and how they link with Russia.
In terms of development,
the Club is collaborating with the Russian Union of Industrialists and
Entrepreneurs, and working towards an agreement with the Zurich-based
Swiss-Russian Chamber of Commerce/SOFI.

SCHAAD, of Interman Unternehmensberatung AG, Zurich, will give an account
of his recent trip to three regions of the Russian Federation where he met
leaders of business enterprises and local government representatives.
