M.A. in Engineering Science with First Class Honours from Oxford University M.B.A. with High Distinction from Harvard Business School PhD from HEC, Lausanne University. A British citizen, resident of Switzerland since 1966, Roy Damary has spent most of his professional life based in Geneva, Switzerland, and working throughout Europe.

Roy Damary combines a long experience in practical consultancy and running his own business with academic knowledge and teaching experience in marketing, accounting and finance, and entrepreneurship. This dual nature of his professional experience and his pluri-disciplinary academic background enables to marry within INSAM the academic and pragmatic aspects of business and finance training.

The first twenty years of Roy Damary's career were built around industrial consultancy, initially with the Battelle Institute, then with the services projects of the GIRA Group, and finally as Managing Director of Technomic Consultants S.A. This activity involved extensive travel and interviewing with a view to gathering and interpreting data leading to a strategic plan for industrial companies. This work took him to virtually every country in Western Europe, as well as North America and parts of Asia.

Over the period 1986 to 1994, Mr. Damary was engaged in university teaching and programme management at Webster University, Geneva, a private U.S. university with four campuses in Europe, of which the largest is in Geneva. He ran the MBA and other business programmes, and taught business, marketing, accounting and finance courses.

One of Roy Damary's business interests is Russia. He is the founder and President of the Russian-Swiss Business Club. He has published a book in the Russian language dealing with entrepreneurial finance and has written various articles for Russian readers on Western business practice in marketing and finance.  The theme of his doctoral thesis was "The Economic Reform in Russia and the Emergence of Business Practice".

As President of INSAM and a key member of its teaching staff, Roy Damary organizes and teaches courses on personal and professional finance management, business creation and tax planning. He has fluency in French and German, and a working knowledge of Russian.
